Infrared thermometers use infrared to measure body temperature. They are divided into two types: contact type and non-contact type, which are used to screen fever patients. Infrared thermometers are generally not calibrated. If an error is found, it needs to be calibrated with a mercury thermometer, remember the error value, and adjust the value after measuring the body temperature.

1. When the infrared thermometer is used for the first time, open the battery cover and insert the battery.

2. The thermometer turns on automatically once. When it is turned on, "L0" will be displayed on the display and the temperature will be measured.

3. Hold the grip part of the infrared thermometer, keep a distance of about 3-5 cm from the measured part, press the button with your finger, the measurement time is about 0.5 seconds, the display of the infrared thermometer will display the temperature of the measured part. If there is an error, the error value needs to be added.

4. If the body temperature is higher than 37.3 ° C during the body temperature monitoring, the tester needs to check with a mercury thermometer.

6. After the daily temperature test, the tester wipes the infrared thermometer with a 75% alcohol cotton swab or cotton ball for disinfection. The wiped cotton swabs or cotton balls are put into medical garbage bags for recycling and disinfection.
