Introduction to the use of infrared thermometer

In the current epidemic prevention and control process, measuring body temperature is a key measure for the investigation of new coronary pneumonia. The infrared thermometer is popular with everyone because of its convenience and speed. To help everyone better use the thermometer, the following is how to use the infrared thermometer correctly:
Requirements for correct temperature measurement
Infrared forehead thermometer should pay attention to the following points:
1. Keep the windless environment as much as possible, and ensure that the instrument works at a temperature higher than 16 ℃. When the outdoor weather is colder than 16 ℃, the thermometer must be kept warm or other items for insulation measurement. The forehead thermometer should be perpendicular to the center of the forehead and above the eyebrow. The distance is generally 3 to 5 cm according to the requirements specified in the instructions.
2. Make sure that the person's forehead is not covered by sweat, hair, dust, hats and other debris. Try to avoid strenuous exercise, eating, drinking cold or hot water, do not apply hot or cold compresses, keep your emotions stable, and do not be nervous.
3. When the person being measured is in the outdoor or at the entrance and exit of the expressway, waiting in line to take the temperature measurement, the person in the car drives the window in advance, so that the temperature of the human body and the external environment maintains thermal balance before measuring. For example, in the case of an air-conditioned vehicle or just returning outside, the ambient temperature of the person to be measured must be adjusted first.
4. Measuring the temperature of the wrist covered by clothing is relatively more accurate. Just coming in from outside, the measured forehead temperature is not affected by the cold outdoor air and cannot reflect the true body temperature. Ask the person to be measured to expose the skin of the wrist part (both left and right) covered by clothing and not exposed to the air, and measure at a distance of 6-8 cm from the wrist, so that the measured temperature is closer to the real temperature of the human body.
5. If the temperature is suspected to be inaccurate, you can repeat the measurement several times, or measure the person with normal body temperature once and then measure the subject.
Requirements for the use of thermometers
1. Some thermometers have two functions: surface temperature and body temperature. When selecting the mode, you can't choose the wrong one. The unit of measurement should be Celsius degrees Celsius, not Fahrenheit temperature. The difference in the two reflected in the numbers is amazing and needs to be familiar. Master the instruction of infrared thermometer.
2. Regularly calibrate the value of the thermometer, which can be calibrated by different thermometers. If the calibration finds that the instrument has large data errors, poor measurement repeatability, and unstable performance, it is recommended to stop.
